Rhinoplasty
Cosmetic and functional nose surgery
Rhinoplasty, or cosmetic and functional nose surgery, is one of the most complex and difficult surgical procedures.
The key to success lies in creating a well-proportioned and natural nose that is in harmony with the person's facial features,
without sacrificing respiratory function but rather improving it even further.
An asymmetrical or unattractive nose can have a negative impact on a person’s appearance and self-esteem. Dr. Casas’ goal is to correct these defects and create a nose that is in harmony with the rest of the face, looks natural, functions well, and is attractive to the patient, which will boost their confidence. Dr. Casas is proud to offer satisfactory and completely natural results, avoiding that typical ‘operated nose’ look that is often seen in other patients.
Some surgeons perform rhinoplasty using a reductive technique, which involves excessive resection of bone and cartilage in an effort to achieve a smaller nose. The result is a weakening and destruction of the nasal support and structure, which means that over the years, the nose deteriorates and collapses as if it were a building with poor foundations. This type of technique leads to poor results, both from a functional and aesthetic point of view.
Dr. Casas does not perform rhinoplasty in this way. He carries out what is known as a ‘structural approach’, which shapes and modifies the bone and cartilage structure of the nose without damaging its support.
This technique allows you to obtain satisfactory results in both the short and long term, as it keeps the ‘foundations’ of the nose intact, thereby achieving good results in terms of both aesthetics and functionality.
Dr. Casas believes that it is a mistake to treat functional and aesthetic problems separately, as the nose is a ‘whole’ and should be treated as such. Addressing these aspects independently will only lead to poor results in both areas, which will be very difficult to correct in subsequent procedures.
Dr. Casas comprehensive concept of the nose and its overall formation allows him to offer high-quality results and make the nose more attractive, while preserving its structure and support for proper breathing.
