Doctor Pablo Casas – Especialista en Rinoplastia Ultrasónica

Initial Consultation

The goal in rhinoplasty surgery

The goal in rhinoplasty surgery—and what Dr. Casas is known for—is to achieve a proportionate and natural nose, aligned with the patient’s facial features, enhancing their overall facial harmony.

The first consultation takes place in León and is carried out in great detail. The nose is examined thoroughly, both internally and externally, the necessary photographs are taken, and the surgery is planned carefully. The desired nasal shape is also discussed and decided together with the patient, and every relevant aspect is reviewed in depth. If the patient cannot travel to León, the first consultation can be done via video call.

The preoperative examination and rhinoplasty planning are unquestionably the most important and fundamental steps to achieve a satisfactory result. It is essential to determine the best approach for each nose, taking into account the patient’s unique aesthetic and functional characteristics.

No two noses are the same. Therefore, each patient must be studied individually in terms of proportions, angles, contours, shadows, and personal details. The evaluation process includes a meticulous nasal history and an anatomical examination of both the external and internal nasal structures, using an endoscope.

By using this camera, the patient can see the inside of the nose on a screen and understand how internal deviations of the nasal septum influence the external shape of the nose. The surgeon must also be able to understand nasal anatomy through palpation—“seeing” the anatomy with their hands.

KEY TIP

How to find the ideal surgeon:

Well-executed photographic documentation helps the surgeon detect new details and supports proper surgical planning.

The patient is guided through the objectives of both aesthetic and functional modifications and the consequences of each one. Improvement options are presented and discussed one by one. The final plan is established through consensus between Dr. Casas’ opinion, the patient’s wishes, and the possibilities and limitations of each case.

The price of surgery includes: preoperative consultations with Dr. Casas, preoperative tests and examinations, operating room and hospital expenses, the night before surgery and the night after surgery in a private room with an additional bed for an accompanying person, and all postoperative follow-up consultations. Dr. Casas performs surgeries daily, and they take place at San Juan de Dios Hospital in León, where the doctor works with his full surgical team.

Working daily with the same team enables him to offer the highest quality of care. Dr. Casas has a surgical waiting list of 8–9 months.

Hospital discharge takes place the day after the procedure, at which point patients return home. After 7 days, patients are reviewed again in León to remove the protective nasal splint. At that point, they can return to normal daily activity—and for patients traveling from far away, it is also the moment when they can fly back to their city of origin.

During the summer months, Dr. Casas performs surgeries in Marbella, at Recoletas Marbella Hospital.
